Saturday, September 30th, 2006The Phils did their part today, but the NL West teams didn’t cooperate and now they’re out. It’s downright weird how similar the past few seasons have been. Hang close with a mid-80s win team, but have a bad start to the last week so that they can’t quite pull it out in the end.
Aside from that 9-20 stretch from May 31st to July 1st, this team did some good things, but that stretch put them into too big a hole to recover from.
